Learn the history of “modern” Valentine’s Day with fun and interesting facts about how people in the 17th and 18th century created, shared, and talked about paper valentine cards.  Watch demonstrations on how to fold your own paper “puzzle” with a hidden square to write your secret message to your valentine. 

Then take a short walk to the Sholes School Museum to try your hand at old-fashioned letter writing. Pen a message to your Valentine then secure your words with a wax seal.

The Durant House Museum has a suggested donation of $3 per adult and $2 per child for special events. Fees include a visit to the Sholes School Museum as well.
