Join us at the Fabyan Villa, weather permitting, Sunday February 17th for Midwinter Mysteries.
The Villa will be open to explore. You'll get a behind-the-scenes peek at our running Inventory project, observing artifacts that haven't been on display in nearly a hundred years. Enjoy the eclectic collections of Colonel Fabyan and his wife Nelle and see their taxidermy animals, samurai suit, and resident mummy.
Suggested donation is $3 per adult, $1 per child.
If it is wet or snowy, you will be asked to take your shoes off, change into house slippers if you bring a pair, or wear booties to protect the 100+ year old wooden floors from the wet.
Parking is at the Forest Preserve parking lot at the bottom of the hill. Please note you will need to walk up the hillside and it may be snowy.
IF THERE IS AT LEAST ONE INCH OF SNOW: The Japanese Garden will be open on 2/17 for our Winter Walk in the Japanese Garden from 1-4pm.
While you're out and about, take a beautiful 15 minute drive along the Fox River and visit the Durant House and Sholes School for our Fireside Frolic, also 1-4pm.
