Take a step or two back in time this February as the Durant House Museum will host Fireside Frolic, a sure way to beat cabin fever.
The museum will provide a glimpse of what winter life was like at the 1843 homestead. Authentically costumed docents will offer guided tours, invite guest to the hearth’s warm glow, you can participate in some parlor pastimes and enjoy some pioneer hospitality.
The Durant House Museum is located in LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve at 37W700 Dean Street. Admission to the Durant House is $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for children. No registration is needed.
