Making Textiles: Men & Women at Work

Join us for an afternoon of crafting and fun! Activities will include flax breaking, hetchel demonstrations, carding, rolling and spinning wool, weaving on a loom, tape weaving, quilting and felting. Examples of the finished products will also be on display that afternoon. Take a step back in time and see how craftsmen made the clothes we used in the 1800s.

No registration is needed. We have a $3 suggested donation for adults and $1 for kids.

The event is Sunday June 23rd from 1-4pm at the Durant House Museum. The Pioneer Sholes School will also be open!
