PARKING
When entering the Fabyan West Forest Preserve, you will be in the South Parking Lot. The closest parking to the Museum and Garden is the North Parking Lot, and while there are several small signs to direct you, it is a little tricky to find.
After entering the Fabyan West Forest Preserve, stay to the right of the island in the South Parking Lot. Turn left at the end of the island, travel about 50 feet, and take an immediate right. The drive, flanked by tall oak trees, will curve as you approach the North Parking Lot. A large picnic pavilion is to the right (east) of the North Parking Lot, and a square, concrete block building (public restrooms) is directly ahead (north).

WALKING
After parking in the North Parking Lot, your journey to the Museum and Garden continues on foot. At the north end of the North Parking Lot is a wide paved path (roped off) that leads to the Museum and Garden. To the right of the path (east) is the public restroom described above. NOTE: This is the only restroom facility on the west side of the Fabyan Forest Preserve—there are NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS AT THE FABYAN VILLA MUSEUM OR JAPANESE GARDEN.
The Garden is approximately a 1/4-mile walk ahead on this paved path. The Museum is another 1/4-mile from the Garden up a steep hill. Both the paved path and the gravel trail and steps across from the Garden lead to the Museum. See the dotted paths on the map above.
