Lantern Festival

  • Fabyan Japanese Garden (map)

Join us for our first Lantern Festival! Those who purchase water lanterns may decorate them at our decorating stations with memories of loved ones or hopes for the future. The Garden will be open to explore; try Japanese traditional games or sample tea in the Tea House. Visit the Fabyan Villa and tour the house of Colonel George & Nelle Fabyan and see Japanese artifacts brought out of storage for one night only.

At sunset, gather with the group to "light" your lanterns and release them onto the pond. Enjoy the gentle glow of lanterns on the pond and grab some cozy memories.

The Lantern Festival is great for all ages, and will be a relatively small event.
